Technical Sciences Vocational School Handicrafts Department Students' "Frekans 2024" Exhibition
Our University Technical Sciences Vocational School (TBMYO) Handicrafts Department students attracted attention by opening their exhibition called "Frekans 2024", which is the product of 12 weeks of labor. The event, where a total of 24 works were exhibited, was highly appreciated by art lovers.
Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, TBMYO Director Dr. Lecturer Fatih Şevgin, academic and administrative staff and students attended the opening speech of the exhibition, which was colored by Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadağ, who gave a speech about the importance of art and artists. Following the opening, Exhibition Curator Lecturer Dr. Abdulkadir Öznülüer touched upon the importance of artistic events specifically for Muş Alparslan University and Muş in his speech. Lecturer Dr. Öznülüer said, "I believe that such events should be increased in order to make our own works and the works of our students more visible and to encourage our students for the future in their artistic works."
Öznülüer also drew attention to the inadequacy of artistic works in the east of Turkey and said, "As we go east, we see that art is almost non-existent. For this reason, I believe that academics, local artists and art students should be supported. I would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, TBMYO Director Dr. Lecturer Fatih Şevgin and Handicrafts Department Head Lecturer Mikail Sevindik for their support in this process and I wish our students' efforts to be permanent."
The "Frekans 2024" exhibition, which was appreciated by the participants, was evaluated as an important step for artistic works and student works to be recognized and valued more widely in society. The exhibition also aims to raise awareness in terms of spreading art to the east and supporting artists.
