When this long-term study is completed, it is certain that it will shed light on national and international quality studies carried out in the field of fine arts and that these studies will undoubtedly enable the department of handicrafts to undertake a duty operating in the fields of fine arts and design. In return, the department of handicrafts, which constitutes a part of fine arts, aims to provide its students with the competencies related to knowledge, skills, comprehension, application, analysis, comparison, synthesis, interpretation, creativity and evaluation in the field of traditional handicrafts.

In addition, with education and training programs that support creativity and provide contemporary professional knowledge, it has undertaken to raise individuals who are Atatürkist, secular, innovative, competitive, free-thinking and creative, with developed cultural, artistic, aesthetic, environmental and social awareness; to encourage and support research and development studies in art, design and science; and to share the produced knowledge with academic circles and society in national and international areas.
