The Handicrafts Department of Muş Alparslan University Technical Sciences Vocational School brought young students together with the art of ceramics. Students from Ulus Forest Schools Kindergarten visited the university's Ceramics Workshop, giving them the opportunity to both get to know ceramic clay up close and create their own products.
The event, organized by the Head of the Handicrafts Department, Dr. Assoc. Prof. Abdulkadir Öznülüer, aimed to introduce children to art at an early age, support their creativity, and contribute to the development of their hand skills. The ceramics workshops were led by Lecturer Emre Koç. Little Hands at the Turntable
Kindergarten students, accompanied by their teachers, came to the ceramics workshop and took their places at the turntables where ceramic clay is shaped. Under the guidance of Instructor Emre Koç, the young children, introduced to ceramic clay, shaped the clay with their hands to create various figures. Touching ceramic clay for the first time, the students had fun in the workshop environment and showcased their creativity. University students and academics also accompanied the students in their work, supporting the young artists. Throughout the event, the children's interest and excitement in ceramic art created colorful scenes. Through hands-on work, the students had the opportunity to experience the creative and exploratory aspects of art. The event concluded with a commemorative photograph taken with the ceramic products the students had shaped themselves.
